REHABILITATION OF OLD DUMP SITE IN BALIKESIR
(European Union supported project, FIDIC based contract.)
The project entailed carrying out earthworks, rehabilitating an old dumpsite (of which 175,000 m3 needed to be rehabilitated), stabilizing mud ponds (of which 3,000 m3 needed to be stabilized), installing a gas collection system, and landscaping.
BARTIN WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT and İNKUMU WASTEWATER COLLECTION, PRELIMINARY TREATMENT AND SEA OUTFALL PROJECT
(European Union supported project, FIDIC based contract.)
Bartın wastewater treatment plant is an activated sludge plant without primary clarifiers for carbon removal and sludge stabilization to be accomplished within the separate aerobic digesters. The first stage of the treatment plant was planned to serve to 41,000 p.e. in 2025 with the second stage serving to 57,417 p.e. in 2040.
In İnkumu construction of network and collector pipes, preliminary treatment plant and sea outfall discharge were implemented for the saturation population of 12,000.
SIRNAK WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT PROJECT
(European Union supported project, FIDIC based contract.)
The specific aim of the project is to establish an urban wastewater treatment plant for the municipal wastewater of Şırnak, which will meet both Turkish and EU standards in order to prevent the ecological balance in the receiving body, the Nerdüş Creek from further damage and to rehabilitate the eco-logical balance in the creek. Şırnak Advanced Biological Wastewater Treatment Plant, which has a treatment capacity of 12,500 m3/day to serve a population of 60,000. The plant’s process is based on biological nutrient removal. The system consists of pretreatment, biological phosphorus removal, de-nitrification, nitrification and final clarifiers. Additionally, there are solar sludge dryer facilities.
MANAVGAT SEWAGE AND DRINKING WATER NETWORKS PROJECT
(European Union supported project, FIDIC based contract.)
Replace and expand wastewater networks, renew water pumping main and water distribution network. The sewage work included in-situ replacement of 3454 existing wastewater collectors between D 200 mm and D 400 mm, parallel replacement of 63005 existing wastewater pipe lines to the new wastewater collectors between D 200 mm and D 1400 mm, construction of 5075 meter new collectors for the new development area between D 200 mm and D 1000 mm, 1688 wastewater manholes, 1785 house connections, and creek crossing.
The drinking water work included replacing 4175 meters of asbestos cement water pumping main with D 630 mm PN 10 HDPE pipe and 21358 meters of asbestos cement water distribution network with PN 10 HDPE pipes, auxiliary structures, and house connections.
KASTAMONU WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT PROJECT
(European Union supported project, FIDIC based contract.)
The specific aim of the project is to establish an urban wastewater treatment plant for municipal wastewater of Kastamonu Municipality, which will meet both Turkish and EU standards in order to reduce the pollution loads to Karaçomak Creek and to minimize the environmental pollution, prevent risk of ground water contamination. Kastamonu Advanced Biological Wastewater Treatment Plant, which has a treatment capacity of 33,000 m3/day to serve a population of 150,000. The plant’s process is based on advanced biological nutrient removal. The system consists of pretreatment, biological phosphorus removal, de-nitrification, nitrification and final clarifiers. Additionally, there are anaerobic sludge digesters and solar sludge dryer facility. In order to protect the WWTP from flooding, a 1600-meter creek overflowing structure with the dimensions of 25mx6 m was built.
PREPARATION OF TENDER DOSSIERS
(European Union supported project, FIDIC based contract)
Preparation of prefeasibility and feasibility report, master plan, and tender dossiers for four different infrastructure projects.
